What Nyovah Is

Nyovah is a Life Timing Intelligence tool. It takes your birth date, time, and place, computes your full Vedic chart, and tells you what phase of life you are in right now — and the exact date it shifts. Not horoscopes. Not generic sun-sign content. A reading of your chart, with real dates you can plan around.

The Core Principle: We Compute, Then Explain

Every planetary position, divisional chart, and dasha date in Nyovah is calculated deterministically from astronomical data — the same classical mathematics a careful Jyotishi would use, run precisely and tested against locked reference charts. The plain-English explanation comes only after the math is settled. Nyovah never guesses a date and never invents a placement. The numbers come first; the language explains them.

How Nyovah Actually Computes Your Chart

We'd rather show our work than ask you to trust a brand name, so here is exactly what runs under a Nyovah reading:

• Ephemeris engine — Sun and Moon positions use Jean Meeus's "Astronomical Algorithms" (2nd ed.), matched against Meeus's own worked examples to sub-arcsecond accuracy. Mercury through Saturn use the open-source astronomy-engine library, a VSOP-based ephemeris, replacing an older two-body Kepler approximation that could drift up to 1° on Mars.
• Ayanamsha — Lahiri (Chitrapaksha), the Indian government standard, by default. Raman and KP ayanamshas are available if you prefer them — you can switch before generating your chart.
• House system — Whole Sign, the classical Jyotish standard, used for the main chart and dasha analysis. Our KP module separately uses Placidus cusps, matching how KP sub-lord analysis is traditionally done.
• Lunar nodes — Mean nodes (Rahu/Ketu), the traditional Jyotish convention, not the True node.
• Dasha dates — Vimshottari periods computed to the exact date and locked against a reference test chart before every release, so a sub-period boundary you're shown never silently shifts between visits.

None of this is Swiss Ephemeris, and we won't claim it is — the calculations above are independently implemented and validated against classical worked examples rather than borrowed from a third-party library's brand name.

The Classical Foundation

Nyovah draws on the established texts and systems of Vedic astrology rather than inventing its own:

• BPHS (Brihat Parashara Hora Shastra) — the foundational text for yogas, dignities, and the Vimshottari dasha timeline.
• KP (Krishnamurti Paddhati) — sub-lord analysis for sharper, event-level timing.
• Phaladeepika, Saravali, Uttara Kalamrita — classical sources cited behind the yogas Nyovah detects.

Several systems are run in parallel so that a claim is only stated with confidence when independent methods agree.
