Who We Are

Nyovah is operated by the Nyovah team, based in Jhunjhunu, Rajasthan, India. For any privacy matter, contact us at nyovah02@gmail.com.

What We Collect

We collect only what is necessary to provide the service:

• Account information — your email address, collected when you sign in via Google or email/password (through Firebase Authentication)
• Birth details — date, time, and place of birth that you voluntarily enter to generate your chart
• Chat history — questions you ask and responses given, stored per session in your account
• Derived facts — short summaries our system infers from your conversations (e.g., "User is job-seeking") to improve future responses; stored in your account and visible to you in the Profile panel
• Usage data — basic server logs (timestamps, error codes) for stability; no tracking pixels, no ad networks

We do not collect your name, phone number, address, financial details, or any government ID.

How We Use It

• To generate and display your Vedic birth chart (Kundli)
• To produce AI-powered astrological interpretations personalised to your chart
• To remember context across sessions so you do not have to repeat yourself
• To improve product reliability and fix bugs

We never use your data for advertising, profiling, or sale to third parties.

Third-Party Services

Nyovah uses the following trusted services, each with their own privacy terms:

• Google Firebase — authentication and data storage (Google LLC, USA). Your data is stored on Firebase Firestore servers. See Firebase Privacy.
• Anthropic Claude API — powers AI interpretation. Your birth chart data (not your name or email) is sent to Anthropic's API to generate responses. See Anthropic Privacy.
• Railway — application hosting (Railway Corp, USA). Handles server infrastructure only.

We share the minimum data necessary with each provider. Your birth details are sent to Anthropic only as anonymous chart data — your email and name are never included.

Data Retention

Your data is retained for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, all associated data (birth details, chart, chat history, and derived facts) is permanently deleted within 30 days.

Your Rights (DPDP Act 2023)

Under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, you have the right to:

• Access — request a summary of the personal data we hold about you
• Correction — correct inaccurate data (you can update your birth details directly in the app)
• Erasure — request deletion of your account and all associated data
• Grievance redressal — raise a complaint and receive a response within 48 hours
• Nomination — nominate a person to exercise your rights on your behalf in the event of death or incapacity

Children's Privacy

Nyovah is intended for users aged 18 and above. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has created an account, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

Cookies & Local Storage

We use browser local storage (not cookies) to remember your login session and language preference. We do not use any third-party tracking cookies or analytics scripts.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy as the product evolves. When we do, we will update the date at the top. Continued use of Nyovah after a change constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
